Our Approach – Vocational Courses
This page will be frequently updated with course announcements, news and events about the campus, changes in schedules and everything that you, as a student, may need to know.
The 3-month course consists of the following steps, programs and special days to ensure well-rounded training.
An Orientation Day is conducted when a course commences to clarify doubts, establish expectations and familiarize students with JBV’s history, present scenario, and vision. Students are introduced to the course syllabus, staff members, rules and regulations, events, and the campus environment.
About a month into the course there is a Reflection Day conducted to:
- – Enhance students’ learnings through group work, games, and energizers
- – Help them reflect on and recap learning sessions
- – Give them an opportunity to work collaboratively
- – Boost their self-confidence and help them discover their talents
Project Day signifies the culmination and completion of 75% of training and is an opportunity for students to showcase their newly developed skills. Students are asked to submit their work for shortlisting by a team of teachers. On Project Day, the shortlisted works are assessed by a panel of judges. Winners are awarded a certificate and prize.
All students who take up courses on campus must complete an examination at the end of their respective courses. The examination format varies from course to course. For example, the computer course exam is divided into theory and practical. Students must do well in both exams to graduate from the course.
Graduation Day is a day of pride and an acknowledgement of the students’ hard work. Students who successfully complete their course are awarded a certificate of course completion. In addition, winners of the Project Day competition are announced and awarded certificates of excellence and prizes.
